A batch of 10 nanofarms will be delivered to beta testers this week. 20 more will be delivered within a month. The beta test is limited to customers living in the Atlanta metro area because it allows in-person support. All beta testers will start with a crop of lettuce to serve as a control. In subsequent crops, beta testers will be able to choose from a growing list of Plant Pads, which will be mailed to them in a standard envelope.
The feedback gathered from beta testers will influence the design of the production version of the nanofarm as well as the design of the Plant Pads.
The duration of the beta test is not predetermined. It will continue as long as is needed to verify that the nanofarm functions as expected.
